Cal South Parenting Course Free of charge.

Cal South and Sports Path, the leader in online sports education courses, have formally announced an agreement designed to help bring parental soccer education to the forefront. Through this partnership, Sports Path will provide a Cal South-branded course on their website entitled “Preparing Your Child for Youth Soccer,” which is free to Cal South members interested in furthering their soccer parenting education.

The Sports Path Parenting series consists of several courses, all designed to help parents develop a greater understanding of their role in their child’s development within the sports landscape. The exclusive Cal South course “Preparing Your Child for Youth Soccer” will give parents FREE access to a course which has been specially adapted to fulfill the needs of Cal South members.

All Bayern Jr. Cup Managers and Coaches,

As stated on our tournament web site, the Bayern Jr. Cup is a 3 day event. All teams are guaranteed 4 games and all teams should plan to play all 3 days. Games on Friday will start at 12:30 PM.

If you have any concerns regarding the tournament schedule, please contact us immediately!

Next week only we will train on Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 and Wednesday from 4:30-6:00 at Bill Cleator.

We will resume our normal Monday and Wednesday practices the following week.

Free Academy Training Starting Next week on 8-07-09!

Starting August 7th we will begin the Academy Training open to U11-U18 players in the club.

This will be limited to 100 players and each player will need to bring a ball to this training session.
As noted below this program is going to be additional training for players that are serious about it and really want to gain extra touches on the ball.

These training sessions will be ran by Noah Gins and Roy Lassiter along with additional Albion SC coaching staff.

We look forward to offering the additional training to the players in the club and hope that each player will take advantage of the sessions.

ALBION SC ACADEMY TRAINING

“Additional Training for the Serious Soccer Player”

Albion SC will offer Friday Technical Training for players U11-U18 from 4:30-6:00pm on the dates set below. The training will be rewarding for the individual player as they will get maximum touches and be very active on the ball for the period of time involved.

“ The goal of this program will be to reward the players that need or want extra technical training, improving their individual game and confidence on the ball.”

Academy Training Sessions will be led by Technical Director, Noah Gins and Advancement Director Roy Lassiter along with several other Albion SC coaches.

The Academy Sessions will be limited to 100 players and each player needs a ball.

New Tourney added 8-28 through 8-30 Bayern Junior Cup!

Hi everyone,

We are hoping to replace the Notts Labor Day Cup with a tournament the weekend before called the Bayern Cup (8-28- 8-30) in Huntington Beach. This would give us all the 3 day weekend off on Labor Day and fix a bunch of scheduling issues for parents and coaches. The only drawback is that the games start after 12:00 on Friday the 28th for this tournament. If people have work conflicts and cannot get off early that Friday, I think we would have enough parents that can to carpool the kids down if we have a Friday game.

What I need to know as quickly as possible is if you have any schedule conflicts that will make you not be able to attend this tourney. This will give us an opportunity to play against the Coast League Teams and will be a great opportunity for the kids. It looks like the 12′s will also being attending this one.

Support the U10′s at Surf Cup!

If you do not have plans this weekend why not go support the U-10′S at Surf Cup this weekend? This is arguably the most prestigous tournament in Youth Soccer in the entire country and is invite only. Michal-Lynn’s U-10 team was invited, which is a real honor. Of Course we have the Wal-Mart Fundrasier tomorrow at the store right off the 805 and Clairemont Mesa Blvd but on Sunday the 10′s have 2 games. This is an opportunity to see some of the best teams in the country compete, and cheer for the U10′s! If you have never attended Surf Cup it is really something to see. We are definately going on Sunday…hope to see some of you there!
